Laura Burger, AuD

Laura M. Burger is a dedicated clinical audiologist with a career spanning over three decades, specializing in the assessment and management of hearing disorders across diverse patient populations. Currently, she is with Southern Indiana ENT, where she has been making significant contributions since November 2018. In this role, Laura excels in conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including Visual Reinforcement and Conditioned Play Audiology, and performing DPOAEs screenings. She is also adept at educating patients and families about hearing loss, recommending and selecting hearing aids, and verifying their effectiveness.

Before joining Southern Indiana ENT, Laura served as a Clinical Audiologist at Columbus Regional Hospital from September 2014 to November 2018. There, she honed her skills in a variety of diagnostic tests such as Auditory Brainstem Responses, VEMP, and VNG, and was involved in community outreach through seminars and local newspaper articles. Laura played a key role in developing VEMP testing protocols and was instrumental in writing articles that enhanced community awareness about audiological issues.

Laura’s career began at Southern Indiana ENT, where she worked from July 1994 to September 2014. During this time, she gained extensive experience in performing diagnostic evaluations, implementing new testing protocols, and transitioning from ENG to VNG. Her contributions in this role also included developing verification protocols and assisting in the introduction of DPOAE testing.

Laura earned her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from Salus University in Elkins Park, PA, in November 2008, following a Master’s degree in Audiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, which she completed in May 1994. She holds a license in Audiology from the State of Indiana and the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
